Elizabeth Lumu

Betty Lumu is a Ugandan knowledge management specialist, public speaker, life coach, philanthropist and founder of the Betty Lumu Foundation.

After leaving the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Cairo, Betty Lumu established the Betty Lumu Foundation on the belief that when we take the move to help others fulfill their aspirations, and create their own better reality, we can improve lives and consequently a good life for everyone.

To fulfill this mission, Betty Lumu Foundation works with partners to develop and implement programmes that promote social welfare, create economic opportunity and inspire community engagement and service.

The primary goal of Betty Lumu Foundation is to promote good living, giving people hope for a better future.

    Building on over 30 years work experience, Betty Lumu established the Betty Lumu Foundation on the belief that every person deserves a good life, and when we take the move to help others fulfill their aspirations, and create their own better reality, we can improve lives and consequently promote excellence and human dignity. Her experience is the driving force behind the work of the Foundation.

    Our work ranges from supporting poverty relieving activities and initiatives, assisting communal initiatives to enhance welfare and social well being including child sponsorship; supporting all round activities and initiatives that enhance creativity and excellence in communities; supporting networks that foster women’s leadership and empowerment to create economic opportunity in many sectors.
